An Advanced Tajweed Course moves beyond foundational recitation rules into the precision mechanics of Quranic recitation — the nuanced applications of Sifaat (letter attributes), the fine distinctions within Madd categories, and the compound rule interactions that only become visible after a student can already read the Quran correctly.
UAE Quran Academy’s Advanced Tajweed Course is designed for learners who have completed basic Tajweed training and are ready to refine their recitation to a standard of accuracy that reflects the Prophetic transmission of the Quran.

Most students who complete a beginner Tajweed course can read the Quran without major errors — but they reach a ceiling. They know the names of rules. They struggle to apply them simultaneously, at natural recitation speed, across unfamiliar verses.
UAE Quran Academy’s Advanced Tajweed Course is structured specifically to break through that ceiling. Students revisit every rule they learned before — but now at the level of application under pressure, self-correction in real time, and recitation continuity without sacrificing accuracy.
The course works through three competency layers: rule mastery (understanding every Tajweed rule in its complete, technical form), applied recitation (executing those rules correctly while reading connected text), and self-monitoring (identifying and correcting errors independently, without teacher prompting).
Advanced Tajweed training is not an extension of beginner rules — it is a different mode of learning entirely. Where beginners study rules in isolation, advanced students learn to manage rule conflicts, recognize contextual variations, and develop the auditory discrimination to catch errors that do not sound wrong to an untrained ear.
At the advanced level, students study both the permanent Sifaat (such as Hams, Jahr, Shiddah, and Tawassut) and the variable attributes that shift depending on context, including Tafkhim and Tarqeeq of the letter Ra. A common practitioner error at this stage is applying Tafkhim to Ra by reflex without checking the contextual trigger — advanced training replaces that reflex with a decision process.
Basic Tajweed introduces Madd Tabee’i and a few secondary categories. Advanced Tajweed recitation requires mastery of the full Madd hierarchy — including Madd Lazim (mandatory six-count elongation), Madd ‘Arid lil Sukoon (elongation triggered by a stop), and the subtle distinctions between Madd Muttasil and Madd Munfasil that affect whether a Waqf is permissible or not.
Advanced students practice identifying cases where, for example, a Noon Saakinah triggers Idgham at the same moment a preceding Madd letter requires elongation — and where the correct articulation of one rule depends on how the other is executed. This layered application is where most intermediate reciters make their most consistent errors.
Knowing the symbols for Waqf is beginner knowledge. Understanding which Waqf positions affect meaning, and how to resume recitation (Ibtida) at a point that preserves the intended Quranic meaning, is advanced knowledge.
Outcomes
Students complete the course with the ability to recite connected Quranic text accurately and continuously — applying all Tajweed rules simultaneously, at a natural pace, without pausing to retrieve rule names.
Graduates can identify the category and source of their own recitation errors in real time. This independence is what makes Tajweed a lasting skill rather than a performance that degrades between lessons.
Students can distinguish between phonetically similar letters with precision — ح and ه, ض and ظ, ذ and ز — and apply the correct Sifaat in every context, including cases where two attributes interact within a single word.
Students can stop and resume recitation correctly in passages they have never recited before — evaluating Waqf options on the fly using rule knowledge, not only memorized positions.
The Advanced Tajweed Course builds the recitation standard required to begin pursuing a formal chain of transmission (Sanad) and the Ijazah — the scholarly authorization that certifies a student's recitation meets the standard of authentic Prophetic transmission.
Students gain the confidence to recite the Quran accurately in front of teachers, family members, study circles, and congregational settings. Through continuous correction and guided practice, they develop consistency and composure while maintaining proper Tajweed even when reciting unfamiliar passages or under observation.
Why Choose us?
UAE Quran Academy's teachers hold verified credentials in Tajweed and Quranic sciences, trained in the classical method of direct teacher-to-student correction that advanced Tajweed requires.
Advanced Tajweed cannot be learned through accumulated exposure. UAE Quran Academy's Advanced Tajweed Course follows a systematic sequence — each rule category is introduced, drilled in isolation, then integrated into connected-text recitation before the next category is added.
Advanced errors are subtle. Detecting them requires a trained ear listening in real time — not a recorded model to imitate. All sessions are live, one-to-one, and focused on the student's actual recitation output.
UAE Quran Academy offers session times across the week, including evenings and weekends, to fit working schedules across the UAE. Classes are conducted online, with no commute and no fixed cohort to keep pace with.
Each student's progress is tracked against specific, rule-based benchmarks — not general impressions. At the end of each module, students know exactly which rules they have mastered and which require further drilling.
The Advanced Tajweed Course is one component within UAE Quran Academy's full curriculum. Students who complete it can continue into Quran Memorization (Hifz), Quranic Arabic, or Ijazah preparation — or take the Advanced Tajweed module as a standalone course within a broader program.

Real transformations from students who mastered the Quran with our courses
I took a course at Shaykhi Academy, and my name is Hamza Osama from England. During my time there, I learned the Arabic alphabet and Tajweed rules. I have also successfully memorized approximately two Juz of the Quran. My teacher was the best, and I feel I benefited a lot from him. I would advise anyone who wants to learn the Arabic language, Tajweed rules, or the Quran to join Shaykhi Academy.
I took a class at Shaykhi Academy with Mr. Luqman, and I had a lot of fun learning with him. I even got the chance to meet him in Egypt! I learned a lot from my time with him, including Tajweed, Tahweed, Arabic reading, and Quran. I've been learning with him for about a year now. Thank you for your time.
I’m Yahia Sarhan, I’m 15 years old and I’m from Canada. I’ve been a student at Shaykhi Academy since 2019, so about three or four years now. It’s been a great learning opportunity for me and I’ve learned a lot about Islamic studies, the Quran, and Arabic reading. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone who’s trying to learn.
