Meet our Arabic and Quran teachers.
Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Mahmoud Alasaal is the Chief Executive Officer of Shaykhi Academy and a distinguished graduate of the Alexandria Institute of Qirāʾāt at Al-Azhar Al-Sharif. He holds multiple Qur’anic Ijāzāt, including the complete Ten Qirāʾāt, and has over 13 years of teaching experience. Since 2019, he has served as the Academy’s Director, Co-Founder, and Senior Instructor, specializing in Tajwīd, Qirāʾāt, Qur’an memorization, and Arabic reading.
Managing Director
Mr. Luqman El-Kasabany is the Managing Director of Shaykhi Academy, a Hafiz of the Holy Qur’an, and a graduate of Al-Azhar University in Islamic Studies. He holds multiple Qur’an Ijazat, teaches Qur’an, Tajweed, Arabic, and Islamic sciences online, and is the author of Al-Menhaj, the academy’s official curriculum. He also serves as the academy’s Supervisor and Education Manager while continuing his professional development in child development, PMP, and digital marketing.
Senior Qur’an Teacher
Mr. Ahmed Ramadan is a senior Qur’an teacher and professional translator with a bachelor's degree in Islamic Studies in English from Al-Azhar University. He has three years of experience teaching Arabic and Islamic Studies to non-native speakers and three years of experience translating Islamic and legal texts. Having memorized the Qur’an at the age of eleven, earned multiple ijazāt in Qur’anic recitations, and served as an imam for five years, he brings strong academic qualifications and practical expertise to his teaching.
Egyptian Qur’an teacher
Shaykh Ahmed Hassan Saber is an Egyptian native Arabic speaker, Al-Azhar Pharmacy graduate, and certified Hafiz with Ijazat in Asem Qira’at. He specializes in teaching Qur’an recitation, Tajweed, and Arabic reading, particularly to non-native speakers.
Al-Azhar–educated Islamic studies teacher
Mr. Mahmoud Elsaid is an Al-Azhar graduate in Islamic Studies, a native Arabic speaker, and an experienced Qur’an and Islamic studies teacher. Having memorized the Qur’an and currently pursuing his Ijazah, he combines over two years of teaching experience with educational qualifications to deliver engaging and accessible lessons for children and adults.
Al-Azhar–educated Qur’an teacher
Mr. Abdullah Moftah is an Al-Azhar–educated Qur’an teacher, imam, and preacher. A native Egyptian Arabic speaker, he specializes in Islamic Studies in English and holds an ijazah in the recitation of ‘Asim Barawiyyah.
Qur’an teacher
Mr. Nour Elden is a Qur’an teacher from Egypt and a student at Al-Azhar University. He memorized the Qur’an at the age of 13, holds multiple Ijazahs in Qur’an recitation, Tajweed, and Hadith, and is close to completing all Qira’at, in shaa Allah. Since 2021, he has taught both Arabic and non-Arabic speakers in Arabic and English, using clear explanations and interactive teaching methods to make learning engaging, especially for children.
Egyptian native Arabic speaker teacher
Mr. Saif Al-Metwaly is an Egyptian native Arabic teacher and medical student fluent in English and French. He teaches Qur’an recitation, Tajweed, and Islamic studies to non-Arabic speakers of all ages using clear and accessible methods, and he is passionate about personal development.
Mrs. Asmaa Abdul Rahman is a Senior Qur’an Teacher with over 10 years of experience. A graduate of Al-Azhar University’s English Department and a student of Dar Al-Arqam bin Abi Al-Arqam, she teaches Qur’an, Tajweed, basic Arabic, Arabic conversation for English speakers, and foundational Islamic studies. She works with children from age five and women of all ages, using Noor Al-Bayan and Qaida for beginners. She is known for her clear, motivating teaching style and holds an Ijazah in Hafs ‘an ‘Asim.
Ms. Alaa Elbakry is a native Arabic speaker and Qur’an teacher with a degree in Arabic from Alexandria University. She studied Tajweed at Daar Iqraa, earning certificates with excellent grades in Qur’an memorization. She has experience teaching the Qur’an online via WhatsApp and Zoom, has contributed to charitable organizations, and is also the author of two published books.
Qur’an and Arabic teacher from Egypt
Ms. Kholoud Hamada is an Egyptian Qur’an and Arabic teacher with over three years of teaching experience. A native Arabic speaker fluent in English, she has memorized the Qur’an and specializes in Tajweed and Qur’an recitation. She teaches students of all ages using engaging, personalized methods and is currently pursuing an Ijazah in ‘Asim while holding an Ijazah in Tohfa Al-Atfal.
Arabic and Qur’an tutor
Asmaa Gohar is a certified Arabic and Qur’an tutor from Egypt with over six years of experience teaching non-native speakers. A graduate of Al-Azhar University, she teaches Modern Standard Arabic, the Egyptian dialect, the Qur’an with Tajweed, and Islamic Studies. She uses interactive, student-centered methods and tailors her lessons to help learners achieve their individual goals.
